Most fences fail at the posts, so that is where we start. We set posts in concrete at the right spacing and depth, then hang panels or build closeboard runs so the fence stays plumb and square. We fit panel, closeboard and feather-edge fencing, along with gates, and can take out and dispose of an old fence before the new one goes up. Where a fence sits on a boundary with a change in level, we step or rake it so it follows the ground cleanly.

How long will a new fence last?

With posts set properly in concrete and treated timber, a well-installed fence gives many years of service. Poor posts are what shortens a fence’s life.

Can you fit gates as well?

Yes, we hang matching timber gates as part of the fencing work.

What height of fence can you install?

We fit fencing to suit the boundary. Up to 2m at the rear is usually permitted development, with lower limits at the front or next to a highway, and we advise on what is allowed at the quote.

Do you remove the old fence?

Yes. We take down and cart away the old fence and posts before installing the new one, unless you would prefer to keep it.

Concrete or timber posts?

We usually set concrete posts with gravel boards, as they outlast timber posts and keep the panels up off the wet ground. We recommend what suits your run.
